Terms and Conditions

  1. All rentals are by name only. The person making the reservation must be of legal age. Reservation requests involving minors not accompanied by a direct legal guardian (father, mother or grandparents) will be refused.
  2. In the description, the customer is informed of the maximum number of beds for each rental. This number refers to all persons declared on the contract (including babies). Under no circumstances may the accommodation be occupied by more than the number indicated in the contract. The management reserves the right to deny access to the gîte to unregistered guests.
  3. The reservation of a gite is only effective after our agreement (check of availability…) and after payment of the amount of the stay, accompanied by the completed and signed rental contract.
  4. Participants have free access to the lake.
  5. Access to fishing is not free. Several options are available: Daily, weekly, monthly or annual passes. Two platforms have been specially designed for the disabled.
  6. On arrival, guests must present their booking confirmation at the reception desk to pay the balance of their stay and the tourist tax, and be given the keys to their accommodation.
  7. Furnished rentals must be collected after 3pm and until 7pm, and returned by 10am on the day of departure.
  8. A deposit of 400€ is required on arrival. It is returned on departure, after the keys have been handed over, less any damage. A second deposit of 50€ is required and will be cashed if the rental is not returned in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the stay, cleaning being the responsibility of the tenant.
  9. Vehicles must not be parked in the aisles serving the accommodation. They must be parked in the parking lots provided.
  10. Each rental is equipped with a kitchenette opening onto the living room, a shower room with toilet, 2 or 3 bedrooms, a private terrace and a green area, and includes all kitchen and tableware, as well as bedding, pillows, blankets and comforters. The tenant must provide pillowcases, fitted sheets, flat sheets or comforter covers, bathroom linen, kitchen linen and cleaning products. The equipment in each rental unit is subject to an inventory. The tenant is obliged to check it on arrival and report any anomaly within 3 days. The customer is responsible for any broken or damaged items and any resulting damage to the facilities. Any breakage, loss or damage to an object during your stay must be reported in order to ensure its replacement, and may be invoiced.
  11. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available at reception for a fee.
  12. An ironing board and iron are available on request.
  13. The inventory of fixtures will be carried out by appointment on the day of departure, between 8am and 10am. In the event of departure outside these times, deposits will be returned by post.
  14. Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the accommodation.
  15. All cancellations must be made in writing (by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt). For all
    1. Cancellations made more than 60 days before the scheduled date: Reservation refunded.
    2. Cancellations made between 60 days and 30 days before the scheduled date: 75% refund of the reservation.
    3. Cancellation made less than 30 days before the scheduled date: No refund of the deposit, the full amount of the stay is due.
  16. In the event of late arrival or early departure, no discount will be granted, and the stay will be billed until the end of the contractual date.
  17. In the absence of information from the holiday village, accommodation rentals will become available again the day after the scheduled arrival date. Unused services will not be reimbursed.
  18. The management of the Village de Gîtes cannot be held responsible for any damage to or theft of personal belongings in the rental accommodation or on the parking spaces, insofar as it is not responsible for such events. The same shall apply in the event of force majeure or nuisance disrupting, interrupting or preventing the stay.
  19. We remind you that children are under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians and must therefore remain under their supervision throughout their stay, including on the playgrounds.
  20. Customers must check that they have taken out comprehensive and civil liability insurance.
  21. The customer undertakes to use the rented accommodation without damaging it or disturbing the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, and will be required to comply with the provisions of the house rules, which can be consulted and accessed at reception.
  22. A formal notice will be issued, which may result in immediate termination of the rental without compensation if not complied with, in the event of :
    1. Nuisance (noise, etc.) or damage to installations
    2. Non-compliance with pet-acceptance conditions
    3. Number of occupants greater than advertised capacity (extra person or animal, not declared).
  23. In the event of a dispute, and after having referred the matter to the establishment’s customer service department, any customer of the self-catering village may refer the matter to a consumer ombudsman, within a maximum period of one year from the date of the written complaint, by registered letter to the operator.
